M¨¦tis Nation of Ontario (MNO) consultation committees have been busy touring different facilities as part of the Duty to Consult and Accommodate process.
As part of the M¨¦tis governance system, the Regional Consultation Protocols advance the MNO¡¯s overall nation-building efforts to help ensure that the Crown fulfills its duty to consult and accommodate regional rights-bearing M¨¦tis communities throughout the province.
The overarching goal of these protocols is to ensure that all MNO citizens who are members of regional rights-bearing M¨¦tis communities have an opportunity to be consulted on policies, plans, projects, and developments that have the potential to impact the collective rights and interests of the M¨¦tis.
